"With faculty committed to teaching, performing and research the mission of SSMA is to provide participants opportunities to develop and grow musically and academically. SSMA offers participants the unique opportunity to serve as musical ambassadors of their country, giving their friendship and musical gifts in return for hospitality shown through the citizens of Siena, Andermatt-Switzerland and the hill towns of Tuscany."

Perform solo, and with small and large instrumental ensembles in concerts, master classes and workshops; both instrumental and vocal, while living in Italy. The institute is designed for all post graduates, teachers and students. Internationally famous faculty.

Program cost for the summer is $2960.00. Offered is room-board, coaching in performance practice by a well known artist faculty in strings, w.w., brass, voice, guitar, conducting & composition. Opportunities to perform in concerts in formal and informal settings in various towns, museums, Diploma, Italian course, Rome/3-day trip to Switzerland/Venice, Puccini opera & more.
